Yes, but it's important to understand that EVA and cork Birkenstocks are different products.

The Gizeh EVA has an anatomically shaped footbed based on the classic Birkenstock design, giving you good arch support in an incredibly lightweight sandal. Unlike natural cork, which gradually moulds to your feet with wear, EVA holds its shape and won't develop that same personalised cork-footbed feel over time.

Having sold both styles, my advice is don't choose the EVA simply because it's less expensive than the cork Gizeh — choose it for what EVA does brilliantly. It's waterproof, washable and extremely lightweight, making it a fantastic Birkenstock for the beach, pool, rowing, boating, spas, travel or anywhere your sandals are likely to get wet.

Think of the Gizeh EVA as the practical, water-friendly companion to your classic cork Birkenstocks rather than a replacement for them.
